Ruben,
Man, I should have taken you up on your offer on the V2 cabs, those are stunning!  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE building my own, but since I have to rent time at the local WoodCraft to do the cuts, it's actually cheaper to just buy from you!

Thanks Tyson!

Maybe we can work together on your next pair of speakers. Although, it sounds like it might be quite a while before you lose interest in those V-2's. :thumb:

Man, I gotta tell you, I LOVE my V2's!  From an engineering standpoint they just do so much right.  From a pure sound quality standpoint they are easily the best speakers I've even had in my condo.  From a value standpoint, they are simply off the scale!

No, I was thinking of building a drawer on either the top or bottom that you could pull out to access the settings on the amp.

Hi Don,

Do you want to be able to see the amp?

Ruben, beautiful work as always!  I love the look of the suspended coax, does not having a solid baffle down to the bass bin modify the response?

Does the crossover reside in the drawer with the sub amp?

I would love to see more pics!

Apologies, I just saw this:
Thanks!

Although it looks a lot different than the original design, it will sound the same.

Ruben

Best,

If left opened, yes, the response would change. However, the final design will have a 1/2" acrylic window in the opening. One of these days I may end up sending a complete unit to Danny for some measuring without the acrylic pane in place.

It's actually a display box and not really a "drawer". No, the amp will mount to the rear of the sub section.

When I get the first pair built, I'll post some pics.

Sorry to respond so late Bear.

I didn't finish it completely as I was only getting a feel for it on this one. There's no driver cut out and the lower section doesn't have baffles in it.

Due to the increased discussion on the mighty V-2, I decided to bring this thread to the top to show another option for the V-2 enclosures. (See Page 1) This design is a little more involved, so it will cost a little more than the original version.

As usual, pricing can vary quite a bit depending on how you want them finished. Please email, or PM me if you'd like a custom quote.

Thanks!

Ruben

Ruben isn't cheap, but he truly does fantastic, quality work.  He made my N3-S center channel for me, even put it together, which was not cheap.  However, it is without a doubt, the finest speaker I have ever owned.  It has a smooth, yet detailed sound and constantly gets comments from visitors.

I have no hestitation doing business with Ruben again and highly recommend his services.
