I assuming that the 21b/BAX-1 setup can be used on a pair of PMC-OB1

Hi Berry

The 21B can be used in any system but not the BAX-1 as the software is designed specifically for our speakers.

Plus I believe the OB1 has an internal Passive crossover which can not be bypassed by an electronic crossover like the BAX1.

Thanks James, 21B and BAX-1 is an interesting set of products that Bryston has released. I have a 4B-SST and wanted to up grade, is there any future considerations for a BAX like product that can be used on alternative speakers?

I would imagine that there would be very few people with the expertise, measuring equipment and dozens (hundreds?) of hours required to arrive at the proper crossover slopes, notch filters, baffle step compensation, etc. to result in a perfect electronic equivalent to a passive crossover (or to reverse-engineer an existing passive crossover, then physically modify the speaker to bypass it).
