Response time US service
« on: 5 Nov 2016, 12:56 pm »
Hi,

what is the usual response time of Bryston's US Service center in Vermont?

I sent a message through the contact form on www.bryston.com last weekend and since I didn't receive a response within 48 hrs, I sent an e-mail to usaser@bryston.ca on Wednesday.

Until now, I have not received any response.

Is that normal? Does the contact form on Bryston's website work? Did I use the correct e-mail address on my second attempt?

I wanted to get a Return Mail Authorization number (RMA) for my SP-1.7...
because my SP-1.7 has a defective display and therefore it needs service. Fortunately, the SP-1.7 was one of the last digital components to carry the original 20yr warranty.
It was also manufactured before the "warranty only valid with original invoice (copy)" clause was introduced.

Do I actually need a RMA number or would you just send the unit to Vermont?

Thanks!

Markus

Hi

It would need to come to Canada as Vermont does not have the specialized test gear for the SP1.7

Hi James,

thanks for the reply!

Should I e-mail Mike Pickett then to arrange things?

Thanks again!
