Reddit has reported bricking of the new PS4, easy To fix a bricked PS4, you have to take the following steps:

Unplug your HDD
Boot the console without the HDD - it will load Safe Mode and ask for a HDD
Switch off, plug in the HDD and boot the console
PS4 will load into safe mode and you can recover the necessary OS data

Another problem and possible fix
A lot of people are reporting a flashing blue light on the PS4 and no video signal reaching the television. Here’s a trick that a few people on gaming message board NeoGAF claim may help with this issue:

Hold down “Power” for 7 seconds or until the system turns off. Double check that your HDMI cable is plugged in snuggly to both the TV and the PS4. Now turn on your console. You want to see a white light, which confirms that the PS4 has a solid HDMI connection with your display.

If your xbox one is farking up, either wait out the patch or call customer service.  Especially if your disc drive crunching away.
No one knows how wide spread either consoles troubles are, but both companies seem to be willing to help out their consumer.
If you are waiting like I am, you must be as old as I am  :thumb: .
With age comes patience...for fixes, much better games and all the shyte both companies promised in their consoles.

WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR REPLACEMENT XBOX ONE because of it grinding.
Try turning it upside down unplugged on a towel.  With your fist hit firmly 6-8 times above the blu-ray slot.  This is supposed to put a gear back into place, so the grinding is relieved.  Please take this under advisement only, and if you are getting a replacement already.
