Thanks Paul, but he wants too much cash for 'em. I am hoping to score a pair for around $3k considering they are discontinued, but who knows... There are some S-2s on Agon but the seller is a HiFi re-seller and wants $3900, which is ridiculous for a pair of used, discontinued speakers that cost $7k full retail.

I was looking for a long time before a pair of S-1EX showed up on Agon last year.
There was a member here called 'glory' and he was trying to sell his s2-ex. You can PM/email him and see if they are still available. His price was much more reasonable than the current listing on Agon, although without stands
I have seen the floor-standers listed between 4.4-5k. You can get the stand mounds for around 3k.

I have seen the S-1EX (demo pair) go for as low as $3000 a couple of years ago. I am not sure if you can find that again as there are not that many out there (the speakers were never a commercial success)
