Hi,
I love the photo and the tuner unit.
No real word for me to describe how beautiful those units are.

Hi (Again) jhm731,
another super nice looking combo, thanks.
Never get tired to look at audio stuff like that.
Owning one that did not work, I would not mind,
because just looking at them (All day long)
would be enough for me to make me happy.

I remember when they were all the rage.
How do they stack up against your Advents?

I was told there was an issue with them before I picked them up. There is almost no bass out of either bass driver in one speaker.
I'll talk to AVnerdguy and see he can guide me to a solution.

It's a good thing you have that Black Hole in which to store all your goodies. Nice looking speakers for the 'right' price. Hope the fix is quick, easy, & cheap.  :thumb:

Not much new to report on the A400's. I took the bass crossover out and unsoldered all it's components. Took the parts to a friend of mine with a Fluke meter so he could test the parts. The 100uf cap tested at 111uf and the 60uf cap tested at 66uf. Still I'm told by others the caps still could be the culprits. So I ordered 4 caps and they were mailed out today, so I'm thinking mabye next week I'll have them. The actual work is not nearly as diff. as I thought it would be. Still I don't like not fully understanding what I'm doing.

I've posted in the past how much I hate speakers with the old spring clips. I went to eBay and found an inexpensive drop in replacement with binding posts. New jumpers made from 12 gauge OFC cable.

Still have some rack space left....would kind like to try Quad 22 / II monoblock tube amps or even the 34 / 306 combo with my restored ESL-57s. Sanity has prevented that & getting some Quad 63's, and some Mac 240s or an MC275. COnrad Johnson CAV 50 has been on my mind lately for my CJ collection. Ok - got to step back now before I land a cameo on NatGeo "hoarders".
