Has anyone noticed how people, when referring to pride (as in pride of ownership), are really referring to their own conceit?
I think Bryston is in a different ball-park. If you own a Bryston, pride of ownership is guaranteed but not for all the wrong reasons. The equipment is built to last and perform admirably and it is worth owning. I tend to think about it as owning a fine Helvetia wrist-watch. It was fantastic 40 years ago and well, it still is!
As for the BP-25 itself, I asked Mr. Tanner one time when is a new preamp line due to come out. His reply was that it was already as good as they could possibly make it and that no new preamps were planned. An honest yet incredibly powerful statement when you think about it.
As long as there is honesty and modesty. Bryston will have a place in my heart.
Cheers!
