Please list your Top 10 selections.  :icon_lol:

Stuff I love but you may never find...
A couple of Techno treats:
various artists, best of techno.."Fluid Vol 5" ( Sm:)e SM-8005-2)
"radikal deep' (Deep records HTCD 994)
An extended maxi-single Brian Eno: Fractal Zoom (66 minutes of good Brian Eno Warner Bros 9 40539-2

World Music:
"The Indestructible Beat of Soweto" (Shanachie Sh43033)
Slagerij Van Kampen: "A Long Walk on a Short Pier" (Tomato 2696712) all his other stuff is NOTHING like this album, all the rest of his stuff is drivel done after he moved from Africa to Amsterdam (and lost his edge). This one is World/African/ with a few bits of Jazz stylings.. wow. First found it as a $1 cutout.

I wonder why James needs a shrink.

All that daily music at shows and home should be enough to soothe the Beast in all of us.  :tempted:

Not my top ten but my audition songs burned to a cd used for almost 30 years.

Blues for D.P.----Grover Washington Jr.
There's a Boat Leaving Soon for New York---Phoebe Snow
Over My Head---Fleetwood Mac
Willin' (live)---Little Feat
Spanish Moon (live)--Little Feat
Il Pastor Fido; no. 3, Allegro, Handel.  The English Concert, Trevor Pinnock, (Archiv)
Un Bal; Symphonie Fantastique, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam, Colin Davis, (Philips)
Poco Adagio; Symphony No. 3, San Francisco Symphony, Edo de Waart (Philips)

I think I know every note, every sound, every detail of these recordings, especially the bass lines (I like tight, tuneful and powerful bass). What is fun is when I hear something different or new when auditioning equipment with these pieces of music.

A couple more of my newer audition pieces:

Invitation to the Blues---Holly Cole   This song's bass line will rattle the walls if you turn it up a bit.
Impossible Dream--Brian Stokes Mitchell   Went to this show and had to buy the soundtrack!  Great recording!
