Title: Summers Specials on Hypex Amps
Post by: Kevin Haskins on 1 Jul 2008, 08:55 pm
I have some extra amps sitting in inventory that I'd like to move.   In the interest of keeping the warehouse clean I have the following:

UcD400HG-Monoblocks $1250/pr:    These have the newest HG modules, HxR voltage regulators, Hypex HG mono power supplies and are pre-built ready to go.   There are no other upgrades possible, these are upgraded to the max using a power supply with a massively over designed 1KVA transformer.   I only have one set at this price and I'd charge $2150/pr normally for the identical amplifier.

They are identical to the UcD700 monoblocks I've been building with a fully balanced input stage.

Note: This is the UcD700 monoblock, the ones for sale use the same chassis but are the UcD400HG monos.

Exhibit #2:

I have a couple extra UcD400AD modules and I'd need to build it, but I will build a single 2-channel UcD400AD stereo amplifier for anyone willing to take it off my hands for $1000.

It uses my standard chassis, softstart, 1KVA transformer & Exodus power supply.

Exhibit #3:

Same as above but UcD180AD based unit with 800VA transformer.   $800

Exhibit #4:

I STILL have a trio of the UcD700AD modules in stock that have become exceedingly unpopular since the HG modules have been released.   I don't know why but the simple change of that one opamp has caused their popularity to plummet.    Marketing guys are evil.

I'll build a pair of UcD700AD monoblocks for the first person willing to shell out $1400 for the pair.   It will take me a few weeks time because I'd need to order another power supply but just drop me an email if you are interested.    I charge $3000 for the current UcD700HG version.

Hi Kevin - looks like you b'day's today so Happy B'day!

Are these amps still sitting around or have you moved them?  Is there much difference between the mono's and the stereo's on your website?

I live in the Far East where power's at 220v - are teh Exodus amp's multi voltage or would i need a transformer?

Thanks.

My transformers can work for either 220V or 110V but I don't sell amplifiers overseas.   There is just no easy way of providing service and support for something from such a distance.    Parts yes.... finished product no.
