Here's the parts for OB Servo Subs which are recommended for all above kits
SW12-08FR Woofers
http://gr-research.com/sw-12-08fr.aspx
SW12-16FR Woofers
http://gr-research.com/sw-12-16fr.aspx
A370PEQ Dirct Servo Amps
http://gr-research.com/a370peq.aspx
* There's also the HX800 Direct Servo amp if you are looking to do 4 or 6 stacks of subs, give Danny a call.
You'll need wire, 4 ole connecotrs, spikes etc... Danny can supply it all.
There are flat packs in various configs from duals to 6 stacks here

Can someone clarify for me. I have a Rythmik sealed DIY sub that I love, but all your praise has made me think I should try OB subs. What do I need to get? Is it 2 drivers and one A370? I'm not trying to reuse any existing parts. I have a buddy who needs a sub and will pass this one on to him.
Also, why would I could one over the other with the H-Frame or W-Frame? My search skills in this forum seem to be ineffective.
Thanks,
Mike

I recommend 4 of the 16 ohm drivers with the pair of servo amps optimized for OB. You can always add another pair of drivers if you like. Call Danny. He can break down other options and answer your questions.

The H-Frame is more solidly braced than the W frame. The W frame is shorter than the H-Frame.
If the height of the H-Frame is too tall for your application, go with the W. Otherwise go with the H
If this is for a 2 channel music system only, keeping the sealed sub is optional but beneficial. If the new subs are going to be used in a 2 channel / HT combo system, keeping the sealed sub is essential. You will need it for the LFE (subwoofer) channel.

Yup, agree with CD and Mike.
A bit more on what Mike mentioned... in a 2 ch system, you can run the sealed sub inthe back of the room out of pahse from the front OB subs to take things up another level. I have not yet tried this myself but from what I hear, this can really dial things in. If you've got that sealed sub already, definitely worth giving a try.
The OB bass is going to load the room much more venly and take away any "room boom".... it's a game changer for music :thumb:

Thanks for the replies. I don't know what I'm doing differently today, but I'm finding threads that answer my questions today.
