I think you can usually count on ECM and Legacy.

FIM, Audioquest, RR, POPE Music, Water Lily, XRCD, OPUS,CHESKY, Stereophile
amongst many others.....
bear in mind HOLT's inverse law of recording quality & musicianship ...or personal taste.

Visit the Mapleshade site and see if anything floats your boat.  The guy records in the parlor of his big house, I think, and shuns dynamic compression.  His CD's are very alive!  Mostly jazz.  Some ethnic folk music.

Sony has a pretty good track record.
For classical, Phillips, Deutsche Grammophon and Archiv are great labels.

The old classical recordings for Denon are excellent, they dabbled a bit in single point recording, and those are spectacular. And, while on the subject of single point recording, MA Recordings has some high quality stuff as well.

You should have one or two Mapleshade and Chesky disks.
