Does anyone know the part number of the cabinet that fits this amp?

I'm thinking L50.

A recently bought what was described as as L50 but it turned out to be not deep enough to contain my 502.  There were no markings on it.  I'd like to know how one can verify what cabinet is what.

For your McIntosh small series, the L50 cabinet is made for the MC502 Amp, C504 Preamp, MR500 & MR510 Tuner these can also be stacked to save space. Also for the newer wide series, MC7100, C710 & C712. A MC502 amp is shown in Black American Walnut, you can have either matching modified slant legs or NOS plastic feet, with or without screen.

I'm not doubting that the L50 fits a MC502.  What I don't know is what cabinet I have.  There are no markings on it or on the panlocs.

Well, then your question should have been about dimensions rather than something you already knew. Apparently, the cabinet fits two lines and begs the question,  what are the dimensions of the other line. I don't have the answer.
