An older unit, but presents some interesting opportunities.
Sure, it lacks HDMI or other modern video capabilities. And it won't decode the coolest, most recent codecs for surround either. But it does have 7.1 analog inputs so you could leverage the abilities of a great Blu Ray player to get all that done for you.
The onboard DAC's are good for music (up to 24/192 via coax or toslink).
It also has XLR outputs for the mains, sub and center channels.
I used it exclusively as a 2 channel preamp - and in this capacity it will surprise. It appears to be largely based on Nuforce's P8 preamp, and contains what appears to be a very similar 100 step a digitally-controlled, analog resistor-based volume control in .5dB increments.
Fully functional, good shape. 1 issue with the remote - the volume down button still clicks as it operates - the volume up does not click, but functions perfectly.
