Built like a tank you say?

Do let us (or just me) know if you find any differences in sound between the Corsair and the Cruzer.

Yes they are! And they look great on the front panel of the BDP with nicely spaced USB connectors.

Looks good!

Refresh my memory -- apart from speed (?) what's the advantage of having SSD in the stick?

So anybody here ended up comparing the Corsair GTX to other flash drives for sound? Krutsch, James, anyone else?

 :deadhorse:

Last time I'll be asking. I'll figure it out eventually as I always do.

I encourage you to draw your own highly esteemed conclusions based on your own "experimentation".

In the meantime, 'Tis the Season, and I must run a zillion errands around town before zero hour next Sunday.
TG I can come home and enjoy the Musik on my Brystons.

Cheerio,

The GS version is a traditional Flash drive and the GTX version claims to use an SSD controller. The GTX drive is quite a bit faster (both with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0) and, I suspect, does a better job with wear-levelling to preserve the long-term reliability of the storage.

Since these are (mostly) read-only, except when syncing new music, it's really the performance that matters. So, I have my 192/24 files segregated into the GTX drive.

Thanks.

Funny, a while back, I didn't hear any diff on my 96/24 vs. 44/16 files when comparing a really cheap plastic Lexar thumbie and a G-Tech self-powered drive. Plugged straight into BDP-1. Which is good as it saves me time/money!

(I don't do 192/24 -- long story -- distortion, etc. vs. 96)

Happy Holidays.
