Musical Instrument Museum - Phoenix, AZ

The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona is amazing. A friend and I drove up from Tucson to spend the day at the museum and we still didn't see all the displays. The museum has 360 exhibits representing every nation on earth with thousands of instruments on display. Each exhibit has a flat screen TV with musicians playing the instruments on display, the sound is by a wireless headset that automatically changes as you roam to each display.

Humans have always made music using whatever materials are available. The exhibits range from a primitive African stick with string to how a Steinway piano and a C.F. Martin guitar is made. Every time we considered leaving we would see another exhibit that peaked our interest for another 15 minutes until another hour went by.
