A Carolina Gathering?
« on: 19 May 2015, 02:45 pm »
The sticky thread is locked, and quite a bit old.

Is anyone interested in trying to get together in the Carolina's Area sometime soon?

I noticed the locked G2G thread yesterday. I assume that the forum software locked it automagically due to non-use.

I'm open to a G2G, but my DIY system is in "R&D state," that means scattered all over the room.

Can you host?

Rich

Maybe 8-10 average? Looking forward to it.

For June, any weekend date except for 12-14, I'd like to go.  Last one I was at was at richidoo's place - must be going on 3 years now.

Good news and bad news.

Good news: I was able to get a review lined up on 6 Moons.
Bad news: I won't have my gear, and don't have any inventory units.

I think we'll need to push this back until July. I am committed to hosting, however. So stay tuned.

I know Kevin Carter and Dave Davenport well. Here's hoping that Musicapristina makes a grand start! I am building Dave's/Kevin's 6H30/6N6P differential preamp design and am currently listening to Kevin's latest iteration of his Maxxed Out Phonostage and it sounds divine!

Can't wait to hear your system.

Best,
Anand.

I can't remember exactly who's place it was for the last one I was at - near Southpoint? - but yeah, it was probably 4 years ago.
