The Tommy Emmanuels CD's are really nice.

I have several Chet Atkins cds. SAILS comes to mind...not real hard core jazz but a really good listen...

Has anyone heard the tracks off of Santana's new album "Guitar Heaven"? I really enjoyed the recording quality of Supernatural and like some of the tracks on the new album, so just curious:)

Oh how nice it is to have my "EARS" back!

Listening has been soooo sweet tonight. I got all my cd's digitized to FLAC on a laptop pc connected via ethernet to my Oppo BD 83 SE to the AVA preamp to the marvelous Ultravalve and I just cant imagine music coming out of my Salk SongTowers could be any better!!

I just purchased the Stereophile test cd's. There are some good recordings plus cool interactive listining challanges and test's. The recorders do things like phase shifting in the middle of vocal passages and edits that they dare you to find. Additionaly they record tracks with several different mic's and repete songs so that the person auditioning the song can here the difference between expensive mic's as well as off the shelf affordable ones. Thanks for the input, I never have listened to any "test" cds, only the RMAF, RAVE, Boulder Audio, SALK and a few other demo discs.

Guess I will have to take a look into to some of these!

Finally got to really listen to the Tommy Emmanuel CD that Jim recommended a few pages back...WOW its awesome!

I looked him up and to my surprise he is on tour all over the world and next Feb he will be playing about 25 miles east from me in Clayton, NC!

And Yes I am going 10 seats back for $25 each for me and my wife!!!
