Rachmaninoff: Symphonic Dances Vocalise

I think this is the album that Michael Fremer is going to do the analog v 24/96 comparison.  one side of the record cut from analog tape and the other side cut from 24/96 and they aren't going to tell you which is which.

Laura -

I wouldn't be surprised this gets used, the sound is top-notch on the vinyl.

Yep, that's an all time great recording.
Most of Johanos' recordings with Dallas are excellent.  For the few years he was there, he brought the quality of that orchestra up to brief greatness.  But musicians hated him, and he took off for greener pastures... the DSO was never as good again. I was a kid at the time and went to school with his daughter.

From Mad Platter, some Johnny Cash and the first Pearl Jam album to go with the 2 I scored 9/28.

It's Friday the 13th and I had a very nice surprise package waiting on my doorstep for me after work!!  :thumb:

My old friend from Chicago sent me this box of records. He said he had them sitting in his basement for the last 20 years in boxes.

These are very special to me because they are all the records that we held in our hands & listened to in his room at his parents house 40 years ago! We used to sit around his place & crank these up in '75 or '76 with his then new Pioneer SX950, CS99 speakers & Sony TT with the incense burning & black lights glowing.  His parents would tell us to turn it down all the time lol. Come on man you have to crank Guru Guru!!! But anyways . . .  8)

They are all early German & U.K. pressings from early 70's in better condition then I thought they'd be and are in dire need of a RCM treatment. The covers are excellent and all have the original inner sleeves.
