Are you using Mac or Windows?  Mac won't do DSD256 out of USB - at least not without a driver, of which there is none for Mac for the Vega.

If Dr. C's System listing is up to date, it's a Windows 10 PC.

Yeah I'm using Windows 10. The problem is I'm using the exact same settings for native DSD over USB that works fine with my iFi.  I feel a bit left in the lurch by auralic as it's been almost 4 months the tech I'm dealing with keeps telling me that it works and foobar but I don't see how he's doing PCM to DSD, and he won't tell me.

I have all the SACD plugins for foobar but nothing jumps out to enable PCM2DSD.

I need to locate some native DSD256 content, doubt it will work though. Matt at jriver has been strangely quiet on this, not one reply which is not normal.

I can do DSD512 all day on JRMC21 with the iDSD using PCM2DSD.

Tried all kinds of settings. Vega just blinks 3x trying to do DSD256 and errors out.

If you want DSD256 on Windows, I had to install the newest driver which is not listed on the Web Page, but this Auralic Support Page:
