Based on the heading, I'm not sure what's the point of this thread.  Is it just listing turntables under $100,000 in which there are tons, or, best sounding turntables under that limit, which is a personal preference.

I have heard some great turntables in the last year.  I do like the big Audio Note table.  It was set up properly and sounded awesome.  The Ayre turntable is a best buy.  I heard it with a top of the line Ortaphon arm and cart.  It sounded amazing through top Proac's and tube gear with an EAR phono.  I often hear the Musical Surroundings table with Vandy 7's and AR ref or Ayre's top gear at Audio Connections and love it.  I bought a Basis table based on the sound of the Debut table that I heard.  I need to hear their new arm, but any of their tables with the Vector 4 arm sound great.

I have a lower cost Basis with the Rega/Basis arm and MB Glider.  I just got a custom Gingko iso platform and WOW....what a change in sound for the best.  It keeps the Basis sound, but opens up everything and tightens it.  It just brings the table to a new level that I didn't think it would have in it.  I hear the differences in companies upper line tables, but if you set up some of the 10k tables and isolate them properly, you can really get very very close to what the more expensive tables offer.  I heard a fully decked out Linn LP 12. It was set up great and sounded so.  I LOVED the sound and felt it blew away the Rega. I was going to get a Rega 8 with their best arm, but in the end, I felt it was too dry for me and my set up.  I also like the top of the line Well Tempered table I heard.  The Well Tempered and Basis tables sound to me like they should be priced double to triple what they are.

I like the U-Turn table for $179.  As it's the farthest under $100,000, I win.  Yea me!

Hi Letitroll98.
Are you sure you win?
How about those turntables:
Stanton T.52B @ 149 USD
Audio Technica LP60 @ 149.95 USD
Denon DP-29F @150 USD.
Are you still sure you win ?
Or are those not valid contenders?

Now, do I win ?

I don't think you guys were really trying.  Admittedly, this is a specialty player - perfect for your new Beatles box:

Comes in 5 spiffy colors for $30.  Want stereo?  There's more where that came from, but it will cost ya.    :eyebrows:

On a more serious note, I'd like to try one of these:

Direct drive, it's around $8K w/o arm.

Their Oasis is also DD with a plinth.  It costs a few thousand more.

Still one of the best deals in hi end TT's, George Warren.

$4200 with incognito wired Moth arm, cool plinth design and some pretty cool tech in the speed controller system.

I spoke with George at RMAF last year. When I went this year, I bought one of his tables.  He had three at the show, and I chose the black painted model.  After three days use at the show, it was a demo table.  No tax, no shipping. I'm now awaiting a cartridge
I'll upgrade the tonearm in the future, but this is probably my last turntable.

I have one of these that I paid $600.00 for from a cat who hadn't had it long according to the dealer and who just had to have the new at the time Oracle table.  I was standing right there when he bought it in.  The dealer just gave me a look.  His name was Stuart and had sold it to this guy originally.  He knew his business.  Recently mounted a Jelco 10" arm on it with help from some of you.  The table is a massive and very heavy belt driven puppy with a spring suspended motor beneath the plinth.  Oh, it's a Micro Seiki BL 91 no longer made.  If you can spend 6 figures for a TT you probably already have a house on Cape Cod.

Another good deal like the George Warren is the Anvil turntable for $3000 with no tonearm.   What are the new but good turntables out there for $3000 no tonearm or $4500 with tonearm?

I think, that's a big think, that the VPI 3 is 6k.  Maybe a dealer would meet you half way.
