PCB 102207 in 4B SST2
« on: 2 Mar 2017, 11:38 pm »
Hi there.

I had my 4B SST2 converted from 110V to 220V after I moved to Australia by a 'certified' Bryston repair centre.

A few weeks later it failed,  and when I took it back to get repaired I was told that the soft start PCB 102207 needed to be replaced that the part cost $600 adn the replacement would be a further $300.

It seemed to me that this part was likely something that would have been replaced as part of the conversion.  Am I wrong in thinking this?

It also seems to me that this is a lot to charge for the replacement part,  and the work to replace it in the unit.

Am I wrong in thinking that..?

Cheers
