Pairing Signature 15/30 with Mini Maggie's
« on: 18 Feb 2012, 12:57 am »
Has anyone paired either the Signature 15 or 30 with the Mini Maggie's?  Just curious if the 15 has enough power to drive these speakers or not.  I am assuming that the 30's would, but like the price point of the 15's.

Thanks.

Hi brucks,

Welcomes to Audiocircle and the RWA forum!

The Signature 15 outputs 30watts RMS per channel into 4-ohm mini maggies.  Assuming you are using them for a near field (desktop) system, this *should* be enough power.

I do not know of any Sig 15 customers who have Mini Maggies, so I cannot be sure...

Best regards,

Vinnie

Interesting review, and kinda makes me wish I could have them as my living room speakers. Funny, at $1,500 a set, that's a couple hundred more than I paid for one of Magnapans big brothers, then marketed by Audio Reseach Corp, named Tympani T1Bs. I bought these while still in college in the late '70s (I worked in a high-end store to make money to help fund my education). Magnapan has come a long way in 40-some years.
