I built these over the summer for a friend. He likes them, which was the desired result.

43x16x20", about 200lbs. Faital pro main driver, Beyma AMT HF driver, 2 x CSS subs with Hypex DSP controlled 2 x 400W amp per speaker. Step down transformer to convert speaker to line level balanced to drive the sub amp. ~98dB/M/W. Being that I'm not a woodworker I'm pretty happy with the result. The folks who have heard them seem to like them.

Thanks Bob. A lot of dust this summer. Nothing makes a mess quite like a router and when the panels are 5 layers thick.. yeah, a hell of a mess.

Ohh....Amen to that.  :duh:
The single most productive piece of equipment I own is the dust collector.
That thing has saved me more time than any other tool in the workshop.

Kinda reminds me of when audio guys get around to acoustically treating their room, they say, "I wish I would have done that sooner".
Yea. It's like that.

I have a 5HP cyclone collection system, which would have been installed this summer but then the speaker project occurred and as he plans to use them for RMAF, I had a rather fixed deadline and getting them done consumed all available time.

Roger that.
Having a big mess now will just make you appreciate just that much more once you get it up and running.

My 14 year-old helped me build the Fusion-6 by Matt Grant http://www.diysoundgroup.com/waveguide-speaker-kits/fusion-6.html
They sound great -- dynamic and natural. They do not have pants-flapping bass, but they sound plenty big and they can play loud without strain.
The biggest lesson we learned is that finishing speakers takes skill and patience, especially when doing things the hard way, which looks deceptively like the easy way. It's presentable, especially for a bedroom system on bookshelves, but if I were to do it again I would work harder (and smarter) on the paint job.
Anyway, we are really happy with the sound. This was a fun project.
The response graph was made by averaging three mic positions in a two-foot arc around the listening position from 8 ft. away.

Hey everybody, I built a remote controlled passive preamp with three inputs and a separate headphone section using a voltage divider to listen to my amps thru my headphones.
The remote uses radio frequency instead of infrared.
