Hi guy13,
How's the hi end audio market there in Vietnam? Where does Bryston fit into it? Coveted or off the radar among the local Vietnamese? I imagine only those with the mean$ can even consider Bryston.....politicians, bureaucrats? It's still a pseudo-communist oligarchy, I guess, despite increased foreign investments and leanings towards capitalism and a free market mentality.
Would much appreciate your observations on these.
Cheers,
Pete
Hi Pete,
cannot really comment on hi-end audio in Vietnam,
I do my own things and rarely buy audio stuff in Vietnam.
However, I go to hi-end shows and that's where the Vietnamese
with $$$ go and the exhibitors are all there with mostly very expensive
audio stuff. Expensive for me and for most Vietnamese as well.
But seems that the hi-end store are doing well,
none of them seems to have close their doors.
I saw Classé Audio, but did not see any Bryston,
but I am sure they are here and as far as how their doing, that's
Bryston that could answer that question.
I know Marrantz, Dynaudio, Tannoy are doing good because Vietnamese
in general like the well know brands.
Of course I've seen in the past 20 years and even more, because the first time I came
here was 28 years ago and a lot of things have changed.
20 years ago, you could not get what we consider everyday items.
Our professional photographic business is slow, very slow, it's been like that for the past three years
and don't look like it's gona improve soon.
If you have more specific questions, I will be more than happy to answer them the best I can.
Sorry if I am not more useful to you.
Guy 13
on planet Vietnam.
One last thing.
The online purchase is booming here,
can get almost anything you want and that include audio stuff.
