You have remarkable fingertips.

I already know that, but at least you know that the people at Genesis share my gift.

Hey Chu, thanks for the links. I never thought to Google "corian speakers". I should have realized nothing is new in this world. Anyway, I looked and found more research that corian makes an ideal baffle material. I really liked what I read, and I think this new approach will be the best thing I've built yet.

Well, I've made tons of progress with my new build, but I don't want to take any pics of the cab  now for fear of giving away too much of the process. I happen to have a wire specialist that lives (get this!!!) within 10 minutes of my home. AMAZING. And he's really excited about my new design. This says alot because he's seen many many speakers. Since my threads keep getting locked or quarantined, it's hard to keep continuity. So, I'm hoping that I can have some examples of this new build ready to test soon. Corian bottoms and tops, with corian baffles. The first prototype will have a Transducer Labs magnesium oxide dome behind an 8.5" wide, 1.5" deep waveguide. An 8" Vifa will carry the low end. I can't wait to show you guys some pics!!!
And could we just talk about materials used, or waveguides vs AMTs?  I'm getting tired of my threads getting locked or quarantined.
PEACE!!!
Ed!!!

 Hey, it's got an innie!

I like it, it could be really cool with some patterned  solid surface. They make  some that looks really close to quartz countertop material.

It is great seeing your vision become reality Ed.

I can't wait to get the new Acoustic Elegance woofers in there to see what your enclosure can do.

So, do we want to try an AMT?  Should we get two baffle versions made so that we can compare AMT vs. MgO dome?

My cnc guy had the day off today, Pete. It's the first normal workday off for him in 3 years!!! He's a machine. I bet these baffles (corian) will be done by next week. Because of my epoxy error I'll have to order another sheet, if that's what you want for the AMT version. I think it's worth a try.

I stopped into Ed's place this last week. These bad jacksons are even more impressive in person! Very excited to see these get into full production, and even more excited about the new production process! Ed is a true artist and brings a fresh vision to his art, these are much more than a box holding speakers, they are works of art and push the boundaries of what a speaker box can be, much like the Aurora and Nimbus! Looking forward to adding a set to my system!

Nothing on the site at ALL since Dec 14th. Is Vapor still in business? Are you ready to release any new info on this amazing loudspeaker?

Perhaps 10 days without a project update is due to this thing we call Christmas?? Very bothersome how some of our families expect us to step away from our audio obsessions/hobby/business during holidays to spend time with other people.

Sorry for the delay guys. I've run into a snag. To get consistency with the outer skin of this cab I'm building a "hotbox". I really want to stick with the "no wood or wood byproducts" theme that I originally had with this speaker. Thanks for keeping interest. I love building things; has anyone built an oven before? I'm looking at ceramic heating elements and thermostats that'll maintain 350° and regulate that temp for hours.

I don't suppose these speakers will be at the 2017 Axpona?

Sorry about the long dry spell guys. I'm hoping to have something ready by Axpona. I'm getting my baffles done this week, so I'll have pics of that soon. WHEW!!!
