Want to buy a DAC-10H. I heard that when you adjust volume on front panel, the volume of headphone and line out will change in the same time. This will cause problem when I connect to an active speaker and headphone both. I need to use nearly max volume on line-out to drive the speaker, but I have to take out the headphone every time when I use the speaker to avoid damage by high volume. Is that the only way? Sound not convenient. Any method to separately control the volume of headphone and line out? Thanks.

You should be able to optimize the volume for headphone as well as speaker. Why can't you set your active speaker volume to max?
I think if you set the gain of DAC-10H to HL (from the two gain controls - a unique feature of DAC-10H) that should work.
