An updated photo will come along in 1-2 days. I took this shot before attaching the name plate, which is installed last.

A back-side photo will be available as well as more information soon!

Just to let you know- a Home Theater Bypass is going to be added before the next round of photos. This will enable the preamp to be bypassed so that a surround processor can manage the amplifier.

Blair:

I thought I would chime in here as this happens to be my preamp. 8)  After numerous discussions with Blair, where he told me his design philosophy in regards to tube amplification,  I took a leap of faith and decided to purchase an NS-60 SE amp pictured below:

What is cool about this is that Blair was able to utilize existing iron from a previous amp I had built.  This drastically brought the price down on this NS60-SE.  I then decided to have Blair build me a Beacon II, as he offered discounts for a package deal.  Upon further discussions, I opted for a Beacon III(shown in 1st post). :thumb:

I am very happy to hear the positive comments regarding the Beacon II tour.  It strengthens my opinion that I made a good choice going down this road with Nightshade Audio.  I should have my NS60-SE and the Beacon III by this weekend.  Blair has been very good to deal with and answered all the questions I threw at him.

Thanks,

Randy
