Why 5 boxes?  I get 4...  And when are yours done?  Mine are 1 week out.

Nice job.  The 5th box for external crossovers?

Are there not boxes available since these are custom two cabinet setup for each channel?

Baseplates.  They are 3/8" thick steel.  Boxes for $12k speakers seem inadequate to me, so I went full in to protect them.

Not sure when they will be done.  These are a super pita to make due to my finish specs.

Kudos

And here is hats off to a guy who is just carting the speakers across town

What do you line the boxes with?

Jim's pallet method worked great for my Soundscape 10s

Is that butter? Nice.

Nice boxes. I can only imagine what those speakers will be like.

Well, Kalamazoo - Detroit.

I believe I thought of everything for any time they have to be stored or moved, which for me is more often than not.

I bought a sheet of 1.5" foam but only used a smidgen of it.  Created wedges at 8 degrees to grab the outer edges.  Made a dummy upper cabinet to check the fits.

Making sure the wedge clears the tweeter.

8 degrees

I just finished making socks for each piece today.  I got really lucky and found some tubular stretchy soft polyester at Joanne Fabrics.  So I grabbed some 2 sided tape and iron on velcro.  A little touch up with some thread and needle and I have some socks to keep them from getting damaged by the boxes and foam.
