I´ve been listening with pleasure to the same pair of membranes since February.

The only tweak I´ve done is to paint the whole setup black:

Even the woofers´ phase plugs:

There´s a thread on diyaudio if you want to know more: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/planars-exotics/232634-yet-another-diy-amt.html

A far better AMT than that particular version can be had at Parts Express also.

http://www.parts-express.com/aurum-cantus-ast30100-aero-striction-tweeter--276-442

The AST can be run in dipole mode by removing the felt pad on the back.

Another fantastic AMT is the Beyma TPL150.  It too can be run dipole by removing the rear chamber.
Pete,

The specs on that Aurum Cantus AST30100 Aero Striction Tweeter, are wicked sweet.
(my high-end audio terminology isn't as sophisticated as some audiophiles.)

And the ability to alter or remove the padding on the back might make it more flexible experimenting with an OB speaker design.
(if that pad is removable ?)
