Love that picture. I hope she picks up on all audiophoolery.
I talk to my daughter (probably bore her to death) about
my audio passion. She tells me she learns a lot and I
hope she will join in my passion as well. Unfortunately
she is 27 and so it is later than I had hope for.

Once again...great picture and I enjoy reading your posts.

Hi all,
last night, more precisely at midnight sharp,
my wife, my sister in law and me were on the roof (4th floor)
to see the fireworks over Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
but since my house is 15 kilometers away from downtown,
the fireworks look like matches, very small,
I took pictures, but you could hardly see it.
So this morning my wife turn on her tablet
and we watched the news about the fireworks around the world
and I think the one I like the most,
was the one in London, very original.
So, nothing special on New Year eve and on New Year day,
as a matter of fact, here on planet Vietnam,
the Vietnamese do not celebrate New Year, not day off,
today it's work as usual.
Happy New Year anyway !

Hi Bob,
sorry if I did not use your daughter's real name Abbie,
my memory is playing tricks on me lately,
must be my old age.
The lighted cross on the small building is the one
of a small Catholic church a few blocks away from our house,
it's small enough to be called a chapel.
Here the Catholic (Churches) always have Christmas decoration
like the houses in Canada and USA.

I guess I haven't given it much thought, but now, thinking of Christianity in Vietnam seems....well...."odd".

Christianity in Vietnam is booming. (..and so is Buddhism)
(In the province of Quebec (Canada) they are tearing down churches...

There is even an air conditioned church near our house.
So many Vietnamese to attempt mass,
that some will have to stay outside because the church is full.

By the way, there is a very small Islamic community here,
but they display a very low profile,
they have a few temples around the country.
They know that if they cause trouble, the will be squash down by the government.
