Hi Bill,

can you compare the new version with an UK original pressing and tell the difference ?

... the UK original has both logos - the red Chrysalis logo and the Island Records logo("white i" at twelve o'clock) - on the label.

Jethro Tull
Aqualung

Note to self:  NEVER trust somebody else to set up your turntable.  I had a "professional" install my cartridge a year ago, not having the skills or tools to do it myself.  It sounded pretty good.  Fast forward to a couple weeks ago--I noticed my WTT tonearm mount had loosened so I had to pull everything apart and tighten it up, messing up the alignment in the process.  So I order the tools, including a nifty little digital scale precise to 0.01g.  The tracking force (which I hadn't touched) was set at 2.20g vs. the recommendation of 1.75.  Tracking force dialed in, VTA set to 92º, overhang and offset aligned, azimuth dialed in by ear (still need to get out my test record and fiddle with azimuth, but I think it's pretty darned close).

Anyway, JT Aqualung now sounds incredible!  Wow what an amazing album!

Ain't that hard, is it? Pisses me off when people, ie. audiophiles, make it seem like such a mystery.
