I have an LS100 linestage preamp and a KWA 100 SE Power amp.  I’m currently running both of them with Pangea AC-14 cords.  I’m pretty sure they are better than stock IEC cords, but I’m sure they are not close to being the last word.  I’m not looking to spend crazy money on power cables, but if there is anything that works in the up to $300 range, I’m all ears.  I was thinking maybe Shunyata Venom?  Maybe some smaller companies like Grover Huffman, Paul Speltz Anti-Cables, or Blue Jeans Cables?  Or mainstream Audioquest?

Drew, I have the same pre amp and power amp, I use Audio Art Cable Power 1 SE on both ;  and Audio Art Power 1 on both my April Music Stello transport and Modwright Elyse DAC.

I have owned several pieces of Modwright gear and found the Signal Cable Magic Power cables to work very well and they are pretty inexpensive.

I have been using Dynamic Design Spirit II PC for my Modwright 5400 player.  Use a Mojo Enigma for the power supply of the 5400.  The DD II is very articulate and dynamic and the Mojo is smooth and lovely sounding on the PS.  I'd bet that a Core Power Technology 150 would work wonders with any of Dan's preamps.  I use one with my TRL DUDE and it sounds phenomenal.

Dan Wright uses WyWires power cables. So do I. Very good synergy.

Thanks, all!  I have a WyWires cable on the way!  I’ll check it out and then may order more.  The Audio Arts look good, too.

What about Triode Wire Labs top of the line power cords? Heck, I upgraded to them, and think they are fantastic.  I wouldn't want to think if I got the new upcoming Modwright Hybrid integrated that I would have to change cords and cables.  Triode Pete reminds me of Dan; two very special guys making outstanding products for the discerning music lovers who don't have zillions to quality as "audiophiles".

Joe,

I’ve got the top of the line TWL PC and aldcoll owns a KWA-150SE. I could loan him my PC for a while and he could let us both know what he thinks.

You might have to wait a week or so as I have to arrange it with him. We live about 40 minutes from each other. [Edit: It turns out he's got plans, so I won't be able to loan him the power cable for now.]

TWL power cords work fine with my LS-100.

I just got a PS Audio AC5 1 meter power cable that I am going to try with SWL 9.0 Ann Ed. once I get back in town Sunday.  I added an AC-5 on my DSD DAC and I found it deepened the soundstage, added a bit more oomph in the low end, and a touch of sparkle on the highs.  It was subtle but def noticeable.

I just added a Shunyata Delta to my LS-100 and it's worked wonders for my system.

My money has been spent with Frank @ Signal Cable   http://signalcable.com/magicpower.html   I see (hear) no reason to spend more ....

I'll second the recommendation for Audio Art. You could start with the basic Power 1, then easily upgrade the connectors later yourself (when you inevitably get the itch again). :D

I have tried over 10 PC on my ModWright Sony and Marantz SA 8005 CD Player/Tube power supply retailing for thousands and can tell you from experience that the Nanotec #308 or Oyaide Black Mamba V2 which retails for $125 is unbelievable and I sold off $3K PC for them.

I am now using Verastarr silver foils PC, IC, SC and my search is over for now; uncanny realism and musicality...

Can't go wrong with either cord but the 308 has more bloom/air and the BM V2 is detailed, precise and focused soundstage and a lower floor noise which will allow you to hear further back into the soundstage.
