Should be interesting, Annihilation is directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later). Annihilation is the first book in the Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer, I read the three book series and have no idea how the second two books could be made into a movie, the first book is weird enough. Do yourself a favor and read the book first, it's mind blowing. Annihilation won the 2014 Nebula Award for Best Novel and the 2014 Shirley Jackson Award for best novel.
