Just saw this on bluray on my 4k projector in the basement - holy crap it was a fun movie! I actually grew up in Germany during the cold war (my dad was in the air force and worked in the nuclear weapons program). It was super cool to see how much of East/West Germany they just nailed. The music, clothes, clubs, overall vibe, it was all spot-on.
A lot of people compare it to John Wick because of the director and the fight scenes, but for me it was more like that great hallway fight scene in the first season of Daredevil. Yes, they kick ass, but it's physically exhausting and all the punishment takes a toll on the body. Another thing I love - people do NOT die easy in this movie. It is hard freaking work to get someone down and keep them down.
So 2 big thumbs up from me!
