Firefox 57.0 64bit still crashes
« on: 19 Nov 2017, 07:13 pm »
Firefox 57.0 are still crashes same as earlier versiosn!!
As they are incompetent to solve the problem they have posted a popup warning:
Opening many Tabs may slow Firefox.

This crap hangs just now with only 2 tabs:
Audio Circle and Google Translator.

Seems Firefox 57 64bits and Google Translator and Google Mail are incompatible.

I think something else is going on.  I am using Firefox 57 and Google Translate.  I just translated a Polish website selling tubes with no issues.
Is your Windows up to date?

I have the same OS Build.  You might have a Windows Registry issue.  I run Glary Utilities on a weekly basis.  I use their "1-Click Maintenance" feature that cleans up your PC and fixes the registry.

Seems the prob was solved w/the registry cleaning, Thanks.

Now doing others items on Glary menu I wonder what exactly do Tracker Eraser?

Removes history, most recent used lists MRU List and other evidence of the Microsoft Windows
What it means? Glary will delete alot of important files from system or no?
Situation is 2090 problems/26.8MB found on database to be removed!

Windows keeps track of your browser history.  Glary will delete/clean that if you check Tracks Eraser.  They are not important files.  I do everything except Disk Repair.

I have never had FireFox crash or do anything funky.
Years of use.

But I clean my registry every few months..

No problems here ever with FF, now I'm running the Quantum 58.0b7 beta 64 still no problem.
I have used CCleaner over 10 years always the paid version.
Win 7 long time and 10 the last 2 years almost now. Still never a problem.

Anti virus is Win 10 and also run maleware bytes.

I ran into some problems with FireFox Quantum (57) and Pocket a while back that were resolved by disabling / removing addons and then re-enabling or reinstalling them. I don't recall more exactly which I disabled / removed, but it was a one time thing and is worth filing away for future reference in case of annoying behavior.
