velodyne sub amp
« on: 24 Jun 2010, 01:30 pm »
Hey Kevin,
Sorry to bring this up, (I am hoping there is not some nasty reason u dont sell it any more), but I am wondering if there are any negatives to that Velodyne Sub amp that u used to sell?
It turns out that I can buy it here in Oz land (not that its cheap though!), and I am seriously considering getting one to may be load up a 21 Malstrom or 4 15's (may be?) at some stage in the future.
Is it a good product, does it have any/many limitations or problems?
Again, sorry if this is a sore point, thanks for any info u can give me  :)
Todd

It doesn't have enough power for a Maelstrom build.   You ideally want >2000W and all the pro-amp solutions are cheaper and better suited.

You can pair up something like the Face Audio F1200-TS and the Velodyne SMS-1 and it is cheaper and more capable.

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for the reply. I considered the SMS-1 as well, but dont think I can get Face here in Australia and not sure what a suitable alternative might be?
Thanks
