Is this rainbow effect
« on: 31 Jul 2016, 03:27 am »
This movie was horrible for this crap. I have seen this before for split seconds in a couple of other movies.
But this was so huge and for most of the movie .
It's usually only blue that does this. Can this be rainbow effect , because they say some people are susceptible to seeing this and others are not,but this was something everyone would surely see.
Maybe something is wrong with my projector ?

Check out that huge blue band!!

I will say this movie was the worst I have ever seen.
99% of the movies we have watched I have seen none of this , or a spot second or two.

That is not the rainbow effect seen with some DLP pj's.

Here is a link describing the rainbow effect:

no, this is technical problem with your projector,
it should not have a blue bar, and it should not buzz (fans can make some noises normally, but I would mention the noise and have them check it out).

send the photo of your image to the support line, get and RMA and send it in

Is it possible to run tests to see if it's a problem with your projector or the disk (or the Bluray player)?  Do other Bluray players have this problem?

Ugh..having trouble forming complete thoughts.  What happens if you switch to another input on the projector?  Do you get the same problem?

Thanks ctviggen!
I had watched maybe 50 Blurays and I have only seen this blue-effect for split seconds in one or two movies, never when playing Netflix or TV.
The buzzing noise is annoying to me, but I can live with it and reconsider a month before the warranty is up.
I'll watch another ten blurays and see if I see see anymore of this blue -effects.
I doubt it's the DVD player as its only a few months old and a good brand .

I feel like it was the specific Dvd , because the whole movie this was happening.
Thanks,
Todd
