D200 MKII vs D100B

Dusty & Co. -

My speakers are pretty sensitive.  I don't **need** 200wpc into 8 ohms, even with the headroom I need for dynamic presentation.  Besides sheer power, are there other benefits to choosing the D200 over the D100?  Thank you!  Looking forward to auditioning a set.

Both amplifiers use the same topology for audio circuit and power supply(3 regulated and 2 unregulated outputs).
Other than the obvious (D200 MKII having both single-ended & RCA inputs, remote trigger), the main differences are in power supplies... D-200 has a transformer about 3x the size of the 100B, 2x the capacitance, and higher voltage for the output section. This large supply also requires a SmoothStart circuit and larger chassis.

As for sound, they are almost the same at lower levels.

Thank you - just the info I was looking for.  Decisions, decisions...
