Will IDA-8 accept speaker banana jacks?

I cannot tell from the photos what the profile of the speaker terminals are in the -8. Will they accept a standard banana like this?

Yes or perhaps I should say, "I'm confident these will fit."

Yes, I have one (IDA-8) with those type plugs used by my speaker wires.  Not a problem.  Cordially,

Good. I'm going to order one to power my deck speakers.

You guys use the Bluetooth feature?

The spacing is also such that you can use the common "dual banana plug" types.

Yes I've used bluetooth. I prefer the spdif input personally.

Good. Everyone else but me likes to use BT for music. I will also be connecting it to my JRiver set-up so I can stream all the files on my hard drive. This unit will work for all of us.

The Bluetooth is just fine for background listening, but I doubt anyone will find it adequate for "serious" listening at all.

For your outdoor speakers it should work fine, as well as give you a lot of "choices" for content.

I have an IDA-8, and use it with banana Plugs.  No issues whatsoever.

The bluetooth is handy but not the best alternative.  USB, spdif and RCA sound better.

have fun!!!

What speakers will you be powering with it?

I only use the BT when location doesn't allow for USB.

I've got this new IDA 8 up and running. Phone BT is okay but cannot connect iPod. Anyone connect one?

I also have JRiver running thru my laptop and cellphone JRemote controlling it just fine.

Sturdy unit.

I got it to work with a current version iPod Touch when I first got mine, but it's been quite a while.  If I remember I had to cycle the BT on and off a couple of times before it recognized the IDA-8.
