Some time ago we built a few crossovers for what was going to be our CLS-9 (Custom Line Source). We have been holding on to one pair in anticipation of receivng a pair of speakers. At this time, we are looking to concentrate our efforts and capital into the Purity Audio linestages and therefore are looking to let go of these crossovers.
These are the same crossovers as used in Arthur's (from AC) highly regarded system. A search here on Audio Circle will provide you with some reviews and feedback from those who have heard his CLS-9 speakers
A few main features:
* Signal path capacitors are Mundorf Silver/Gold
There are several of these capacitors used throughout the circuit. A couple of these are large values with a cost, per capacitor, well over $200 each.
* Main capacitors in the tweeter circuit bypassed with V-Cap Teflon capacitors
* Custom ordered Mundorf copper inductors for the woofer circuit
* JPS Alumiloy wired
* 5 position bass management system (toggle switches)
* Custom umbilical cords will be made at time of ordering. These will have Speak-on connectors at the crossover end and your choice of banana or spade connectors at the speaker end. Up to 4 foot length will be standard with longer lengths coming with an additional charge. Umbilical cords also utilize JPS Labs Alumiloy wire.
* Crossovers housed in custom black acrylic enclosures.
What you need to do:
You will be responsible for disconnecting the internal stock crossovers, adding an additional set of binding bost and wire the driver to their proper binding post. Tweeters to one set and woofers to another. The umbilical cords will come with the appropriate labels "Upper" & "Lower".
These crossovers will need to be broken in as they have never been connected to a pair of CLS-9 or LS-9 speakers.
