I posted this on the Vinyl circle the other day but got no replies. Does anyone have experience with this massive collection on vinyl of all his works ?
I believe the entire collection is composed of 17 boxed sets; I found one of the boxed sets at a used book/music store for $6. Thought that was good deal, as the boxed set looked to be in excellent shape, perhaps seldom played.
Just wanted to find out if anyone could weigh in on the quality of the recordings and the performances. I the one I picked up was of string quartets performed by the Mozart Quartet.
I'm looking forward to listening to it in a few days as my wife wrapped it and said it's going under the Christmas tree as a present !
