The dac in my sa8004 is the same as the 8005, however you cannot input higher than 48 kHz into the usb of the 8004, only optical and coaxial.
I'm looking to either upgrade to the 8005, or possibly keep the 8004 and go with the PS Audio NuWave DAD. I would rather try to keep the number of components down, but Looking for opinions of the 8005 over the NuWave.
I would like to listen to more files from my HD than CD's, and trying to get into more higher resolution music.
