Cold day 20Dec1992 at Phoenix AZ in a small track at the Penske PC21 Chevrolet turbo Ricky Mears car, Senna best lap was 49.09sec, Emerson best was 49.70sec:

Ahh, the good ol' days of CART. Even if it was pretty widely seen as a means to put pressure on McLaren and Williams to fight for his services, it was good to see Senna come over and give our series a bit more prestige.

Senna was a beast in any car he drove.  That dude was just magical behind the wheel. So much talent!

He's my favorite F1 driver of all time.  After his death,  I didn't watch F1 for about 15 years.

My 2nd favorite F1 driver would be Jackie Stewart.

I also like Stewart, Brabham that built his own F1 car, Emerson and others greats from the non computer controlled cars era, but there is one few rememberred and under rated pilot: Nelson Piquet, very good driver in the rain.

Below with his wife when loss license driver in 2007, taking recycling classes for speedy driving in his hometown, according to the traffic department Piquet had 128 points in his bill, 20 points is suffice to loss license:
