Velodyne and self-driving cars
« on: 27 Aug 2017, 08:29 pm »
Velodyne was founded by David Hall to make subwoofers.  I just read Forbes Sep 5 2017 about Velodyne and David Hall.  Wow.  This guy is big time.  LiDAR sensors allow self-driving cars to see where they are going.  What other audio guys male and female have made an impact?

Dr. Amar Bose, yes that Bose, invented an active electromagnetic automobile suspension system that worked quite well.

I heard it just makes you think the car is handling well, but in reality you are just going slower.

LOL, maybe that's because the electromagnetics are "direct-reflecting"?
