Hoping someone has heard both and can share their thoughts.

No one... Either one one has heard these two or no one has the balls to post their opinions about them

jlafrenz... why don't compare them yourself?

doesn't Peachtree have a 30 day trial like we do?

I looked but their website sucks.  I can't find it.

HaHa Yes! I was having a moment yesterday  (and a couple of drinks) :)

I would love to, but I don't have $1K laying around to tie up doing so.

Go with the VDA-2 if you cannot buy both. You will never miss the DACIT.

I bought a Peachtree Nova, and that one did not last long in my system.

You have $500 lying around to purchase one or the other, why not put the other $500 on a credit card which would probably only cost you $10 or so in interest charges?

You're not likely to find too many people who have compared the two, and even if you were to find one or two who have, it often comes down to a personal preference of sound presentation, particularly when comparing two DACs in the same price range.

Of course, that's even if Peachtree has a trial policy.  Like jtwrace found, there is no information about that or even the warranty period on the website.

I owned a Decco2 once. I thought the DAC was nice, but the amp sub-par. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on the two of them.

I'm trying to avoid doing all that. I really need to sell the DAC I have first to pick up another one. There aren't too many posts or impressions about the DACiT anywhere on the web. Plenty of CIA reviews though. Had my fingers crossed that someone would have had the opportunity of hearing both.

The amp section in the Nova was very sub-par, mid-fi. Even Chris at Computer Audiophile did not give a full review on the sound of the Nova in his first review. He finally did when a lot of his members forced him to comment. After owning one, I now understand Chris's hesitency.
