Question; wouldn't this be more of a VMPS 215 sub, than a Larger?  And what's with removing the 12" woofer, and sealing the opening?  Was that a mod offered by Brian, for some reason?  Just curious!

Isn’t it just a larger in low boy configuration?  As far as the plugged 12” woofer opening, who knows?  I seem to recall discussion of the larger performing well with the high excursion TC Sounds 15” (what Brian called the OMG) and the 12” opening getting plugged, but the 15 in that cabinet sure doesn’t look a TC Sounds driver.  And maybe I’m just not remembering any of this correctly.

Anyway, it does have the much better CSS passive and 1,000 watt Parts Express amp, so $500 seems like a good price, if you have the room for something that large.

Brian offered the UltraMega 15" and you could remove and plug the 12" cut out if you only wanted/needed Lower Bass.

This one does have the matching UltraMega Passive Radiator, so it is a STEAL at $500.

There was both a 12" and a 15" UltraMega, and I believe both were EMINENCE drivers, which were also offered by Dayton later, so he eventually used both (even though they were the same, but with different names on them)

I do not know what the Dayton model number was however so I cannot say with any certainty.
