Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets, 180 gram
Really good

I find these are really good too.  Only reissues I have.  I love Meddle and had to order it.  Bought both locally from our only lonely vinyl shop.

Meddle is on Pink Floyd Records (new to me)
Pipper is on Columbia

need to read up on these things.  So far so good but don't know how much farther I'll go into the Floyd collection.  Saucer for sure maybe Animals.

Occasionally you run across something and you say "I'm not likely to see that again soon"
Mingus "Ah Um" 6 eye near mint.  Mono
I had to pay... er... ah... um.... Let's just say more than taking the wife out for dinner.

Broke down and ordered two new 180 gram Zappa reissues:
Joe's Garage Acts I, II and III and Weasels Ripped My Flesh.

I've been good so figured I needed a little treat.

30th Anniversary Super Deluxe box set. The live recording of the 1987 tour stop at Madison Square Garden is terrific.

Bottom two are Jim Avett and Family-For His Children and Ours and Timothy Seth Avett as Darling IV

Friend of mine played a couple of cuts from McCoy Tyner's "Nights of Ballads and Blues" from a quality vinyl repressing. Wow.  Had to look for a version.
Just sprung for the Analogue Productions 45 rpm version.

2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love. So many great albums were released in 1967. Rhino is celebrating the 50th anniversary with reissuing several 1967 albums, some on colored vinyl. I bought these. The Association, Love and Vanilla Fudge are Mono. The SQ is really good. Mastered by Capitol in the dead wax on 3 of them. The Dusty Springfield album is terrific. The SQ on the Love album is better than the Sundazed reissues. If you are a fan of this music and don't have originals in good condition or don't have the mono version of Love, Vanilla Fudge and the Association, I recommend you pick these up and check out the other releases. http://www.rhino.com/search?search=summer+of+love&=Search

Wow.  No action on this thread since last August!
One of my suppliers is calling it a career and is shutting down after several decades in business... so I've been buying the 1/2 off sale. Too many great classicals to mention them all, but in jazz a nm box set...
I've already got most of these, but the box set with mountable cover art prints, w/bonus 7" record was too good to pass up.

Some recent purchases over the past two months. The Stevie Ray Vaughn albums along with Pet Sounds are 45 rpm and sound incredible!

Tea for the Tillerman is always top notch. I have both 33 and 45 rpm as well as early MoFi and regular and on and on. I've given some of them to my three daughters!
