Congrats on the positive press Al, my time with the HT3 was very positive, and it is nice to see that a pro liked them too!

Al:

Great review!  Congrats.  Good to see reviews on established websites coming around to less than mass-marketed speakers.

OK,

Great review.  Where do I find pricing on these speakers and how can you get a listen to them down here in lower Canada, Spokane, Washington.  LOL

This review certainly echoes my opinion of these fantastic speakers.  "Detailed" is a good description.  More than that, the HT3 reveals the granular nature of music in a very pleasant and revealing fashion.  They do thirst for power.  Feed them enough juice, and they will definately shine!

Can't wait until 8/6?  I figure you'll be in the best position to judge, your house, your source equipment.  BTW I assume we can bring some CDs :P

I found that the RA8 was a lot more forgiving when it came to placement and room problems. As well the ouput was more even throught the room compared to the HT3. The HT3 had more bass - which was easily overdone if placed to close to a wall. from midrange upwards they were quite even as long as you were in the sweet spot (for the HT3).

As for finish, they were both drop-dead georgeous. extra points to the RA8 for sheer WOW factor. :icon_surprised:
