I own a pair of VR 4JR which I have enjoyed for nearly 11 years now and have been in search of a pair of VR4-SR to improve the overall dynamics of my 2 channel system which is comprised of thd following:
Clearaudio Innovation TT with the Universal tone arm and a Stradivari MC cart.
Preamp/phono are BAT VK-52SE and VK10. The VR-4JR are bi-amped with Rogue M-150 monoblocks and an Emotiva XPS 200 solid state.
Ive been searching for the SRs for a few months with no luck then i came across a pair of the 5HSE and wondered if anyone has any insight into the sonic differences between the two. Obviously I may not be able to audition either. Cosmetics aside I have no misgivings of buying the SRs without auditioning but the 5HSE is something ive never heard and would welcome any guidance.
