center focus magnepan 1.7
« on: 10 Jun 2017, 10:15 pm »
I've got two SVS subwoofers (ultra cylinders, sealed configuration) behind two 1.7 maggies. As I reduce the crossover the sound has come together in the center, in a most pleasing way (no need to think to the resistor, for reducing treble, instead transparent beyond anything before, I want to play my vinyl and everything again...sort of thing). I'm now at 90hz, I may even try lower. This has been surprising, the new focus IN THE CENTER of the sound, as a result of subwoofer crossover. It is striking, in my room. Can anyone explain it?
